An internal assessment resource provided by NZQA to support internal assessment of the Achievement Standard 91582 (3.10).

This activity is motivated by a recent successful advertising campaign. It requires students to carry out an investigation that uses statistical methods to make a formal inference about New Zealand crash statistics.

An internal assessment resource provided by NZQA to support internal assessment of the Achievement Standard 91581.
This activity requires students to investigate possible relationships between variables relating to head measurements for Hector’s dolphins. They then need to decide if the classification of North Island dolphins as a new subspecies from South Island dolphins can be supported by the findings of the investigation.

3.9A Sport Science exemplar (NZQA)

This resource requires students to investigate relationships between physical and/or physiological attributes of a sample of high performance athletes from the Australian Institute of Sport. It is a model of a possible internal assessment resource accompanied by a student and grade boundary exemplar. Note that there is an additional sheet that defines the variables and units further.
